Terms and Conditions
GENERAL:
1. Accepting these Terms and Conditions
Before placing your order, please read carefully these Terms and Conditions and other policies we may notify you of. Acceptance of service, verbal or otherwise includes the following terms and conditions of contract. These shall be deemed legally binding between both parties and should be noted and adhered to all times. Sunshine Catering reserves the right to cancel any contract for failure to adhere to the enclosed.
You should print or download copies for your future reference. Together they constitute the entire agreement between us. You accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and the other terms and conditions referred to above when:
In the case of telephone orders, you confirm to a member of our Customer Services team that you agree to be bound by them.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions impinges on your statutory rights either as a consumer or otherwise.
Privacy and Communications
When you place orders, we collect certain personal and transactional information (e.g. name, address, email address, credit/debit card details). For your information we will not pass on any personal details to a third party without your permission in writing and at no time will any sensitive information ( credit or debit cards) be made available to other parties. To fulfil our obligations to you under these Terms and Conditions we communicate with you by e-mail whereby you agree to receive communications from us electronically in this way and that electronic communications will satisfy any legal requirement for communications be in writing.
Menus
Menus may be subject to slight changes and / or amendments, due to un-availability of fresh products and / or supplies. However due care and consideration will be given and consultation wherever possible and in the event of a substitute dish and/ or ingredients provided, notice will be given prior if time permits. Sunshine Catering reserves the right to supply a substitute dish to replay any item not available due to stock shortage beyond on our control.
Services
Sunshine Catering accepts no responsibility for breach of contract by either agents or associated artiste's contracted to providing additional services. In the unlikely event of an artiste(s) not able to provide services in full, all monies paid for such services to Sunshine Catering will be refunded if a suitable replacement is not found in time. Please note this does not include instances where performers are late due to unforeseen matters such as traffic congestions, force de nature and / or accidents.
Booking / Deposits:
All bookings will be treated as provisional and will be held for 10 working days pending receipt of written confirmation and a booking deposit of 20% of the total contract cost.
Deposits and / or payments may be made with credit or debit cards bankers draft, BACS or personal cheques. Please note that we cannot guarantee the security of data which you send us by email. Accordingly please do not send us any credit or debit card information using email
Sunshine Catering shall not be responsible for loss of booking dates due to late or delay booking fees and / or payments. Should any bookings be made within fourteen days (14)(for parties and one month for weddings), full payment is required to secure your booking and will only be accepted by credit/ debit card via telephone.
Please note internet banking transfers may sometimes take up to (4) working days to clear and therefore will not be accepted as a method of immediate payment. .
Refunds:
Deposit may be refunded, provided a valid and written reason is supplied to Sunshine Catering, no less that eight (08) weeks from the agreed date of event. All cancellations will be subject to a 15% administration fee to cover cost. Cancellations received less than the required period of eight weeks or delayed payments will result in the forfeiture of deposits and all monies paid to date.
In the unfortunate event of an event having to be cancelled by Sunshine Catering due to circumstances beyond our control an alternate date will be offered or a full 100% refund of all monies paid to date will be given
Payments:
Payment must be made in full before any services are rendered. Outstanding balances must be received no less than one month (30 days) for weddings and (14 days) for parties. Reminders may or may not be sent out to this effect and it is your responsibility to ensure all payments are made on time. Should full payment not be received by the due date as agreed, we reserve the right to cancel the booking within 2 days after the payment date has passed and all reminders if applicable has been ignored.
Late payments will incur a charge of 5% of the total contract cost, per day for each day outstanding. We regret that services cannot and will not be provided without full payment, unless otherwise agreed in writing with Sunshine Catering prior to an event. Any booking made within the (14 day) period must be paid for in full at the time of booking. At no time will we accept amended payment terms which are not in line with the above
Tasting
Tastings can be provided for weddings or functions for a max of 4 people and will incur an admin fee of £30.00. This is fully refundable should you proceed with Sunshine Catering and will be deducted from the final total of your bill. Payment for the above may be made with credit or debit card over the telephone or with cash on the day of the tasting.
Client liability
Sunshine Catering reserves the right to charge the organiser, company or individual for any damages to equipment or premises provided on the day and / or night caused by unreasonable behaviour.
Hire Equipment
Sunshine Catering is primary a catering company and not a hire company. We will however source and supply all the necessary equipment required for your event. All hire equipment becomes the responsibility of the client once it is delivered to the venue until it is collected, checked and confirmed okay. There will be a standard deposit of £55.00 payable at the time of the booking for the damage or loss of any equipment. This is fully refundable once all equipment has been checked and deemed okay.
Personal food additions
We regret that food items provided by clients will not allowed to be placed with existing food items provided by Sunshine Catering due to the safe handling of food in accordance with the Chartered Institute of Environment Health ( C.I.E.H).All catering will be exclusively provided by us. Once we have removed all our products and equipment, clients may provide their own service as required. Clients may however provide an evening buffet for weddings.
Alteration to Numbers
Any alteration to numbers should be forwarded to us as soon as possible. Please note amendments to final numbers may not be accepted (14 days prior) to the event date for private parties or 28 days for weddings. If numbers fall below the original agreed and quoted price of more than 20%, a new quotation will be required to reflect these changes
Uniformed professional waiting staff:
Our waiting staff are professional and service trained. Waiting staff are charged @ £9.50 per hour for a minimum of 5 hours during the week and £12.00 on weekends
Professional Chefs:
Our chefs are fully trained and professional skilful and experienced.
Chef are charged @ £13.95 per hour for a minimum of 5 hours and £15.00 for weekend functions..
Porters:
Porters are charged @ £8.95 per hour for a minimum of 5 hours.
